It seems fitting we've chosen to transform the JC's building. We first conceived the idea over 25 years ago when we stumbled on a hole into the old movie theater downtown from inside the original JC's. We thought how beautiful it would be, with the darkened ambiance, to add chandeliers and sconces to create something elegant and special from a local landmark. However, the theater was unusable and the dream faded. As we watched another DeRidder landmark sit unused after 25 years of business, the idea struck... why not now? Why not give the area a different type of venue to celebrate in?
There are rustic barns to make your own. There are huge event spaces with vaulted ceilings to cover and drape. There are white rooms to use as a canvas to add your color and touches.
However, there still wasn't, even after 25 years, a place like we dreamed of creating. A Place that, during the day, is beautiful and comfortable for meetings and tea time. A Place that at night turns on its natural darkened ambiance to exude elegance from every corner.
An Event Place that gives you the option to truly sit back and enjoy your day whether it's a baby shower, bridal shower, meeting, wedding, business holiday party, family reunion, birthday party, little girl's birthday tea party, or full on wedding reception.
An Event Place with 3,000 square feet containing 3 event rooms that can be combined. An Event Place with amenities. An Event Place with options.
